Do rates vary depending on transcript length or complexity?
Some longer transcripts with highly specialized terminology such as expert witness testimony, requiring more extensive research, may incur adjusted rates to maintain quality but this can be calculated ahead of job delivery.
Do you have a rough draft rate?
No. I do not read rough drafts. If a transcript ever appears to be a rough draft after I’ve read some pages, I will notify you and let you know so you have time to revisit the draft. Then it can be re-sent to me for proofreading and correction delivery with an adjusted or agreed-upon deadline.
How do billing and payment work?
I send an itemized invoice on the 1st and 15th of every month, and ask that payment be remitted within 15 days. Payment can be made quickly and easily through Zelle, Venmo, or Paypal.
